Messi’s Captaincy and Spanish Scuffle

So how did Messi’s first game as (full time) Argentina captain go?

Well, there were moments when he was very captain-y.

Then there were moments when he was not so captain-y.

But overall, Leo was happy to win anything shiny and trophy-like with Argentina.

As we all know, Spain also played an international friendly with Chile yesterday, that turned out to be not so friendly towards the end. That’s what happens when you play countless Classicos in a row. No, there was no rivalry between the Spanish players, but there was a natural assumption that extra time is fight time. It all started off with Iniesta and a Chilean player trying to get extreme close-ups of each other’s face, and ended with Ramos forcefully shoving unsuspecting bystanders just hanging around and watching the developments. Sounds familiar? Note Busquets running through the assembled crowd with great purpose to shove the first random Chilean player he could lay his hands upon. All fun.

Awww…how adorable does Leo look? It’s like watching him grow up! Yes, I know he’s 24…
